Public and private sector operations, supply chain management and sustainability consulting to aggressively and effectively achieve sustained cost reduction results - typically 5-20% reduction in energy resource costs and 10-35% in supply chain including maintenance, repair and operating (MRO) costs. Several highlights and achievements are as follows:
" Successfully developed, managed and led a major, innovative US Department of Energy initiative for US food industry in integrated enterprise energy and asset management (EEM-EAM) advanced technologies. In addition, the successful initiative was selected by the US National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), California Sea Grant as a pilot for the US seafood industry.
" Design, manage and lead California statewide energy and environmental resource initiatives for the California Energy Commission, Electric Power Research Institute and Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory for:
- Power quality technologies and supply chain impacts for California food industry and
electric utilities as California food industry evolves from integrated circuit technologies
to microprocessor-based technologies in manufacturing operations.
- California food industry progressive demand response research, processes, management and
technologies to mitigate statewide energy supply chain impact of high CA food
industry summer electricity demand.
- Current statewide initiative leadership in integrated energy-environment resource
management and technologies, including water resources and C02 emissions
tracking and reporting on a realtime basis.
- Selected as electricity smart grid initiative leader for the US Air Force-Air Combat Command at Beale AFB, CA and 9th Reconnaissance Wing intelligence operations mission support (i.e. U-2 Dragon Lady, RQ-4 Global Hawk and PAVE PAWS missile defense). The smart grid initiative encompasses the spectrum of federal and state energy supply chain resources, engineering, cyber security and technologies to ensure sustained accomplishment of the Air Force national security mission.
- Designed and led initiative to transfer advanced material handling energy technologies
from the US airline industry to the US food industry and other industry segments.
- Designed and implemented leading-edge procurement, supply chain management processes and technologies that are currently industry competitiveness benchmarks in materials management, working capital cost reduction and process efficiencies. Typical implementation savings yield lowest-effective delivered cost savings improvement of 10-35% contingent upon operations.
" Appointment to Council on Competitiveness, Washington DC
- US Energy Security, Innovation & Sustainability Initiative
- 100 Day Energy Plan for 44th President of the United States
" Appointment to Pew Center on Global Climate Change, Washington DC
- Per a Toyota grant of $1.4 million, was selected as an expert advisor to the Business Environmental Leadership Council for US energy efficiency policies and technologies to mitigate global climate change
" Appointment as Visiting Scholar - California Institute for Food & Agricultural Research (CIFAR) Energy & Supply Chain Management Advisor at the Robert Mondavi Institute for Wine & Food Science, University of California-Davis.
" Selected as a member of a US-Canadian delegation to China for presenting effective integrated energy and environmental resource management strategies and technologies to Chinese industry and government.
" Received State of California Flex Your Power award from Governor Schwarzenegger for Energy Education & Leadership due to successful US Department of Energy initiative results in integrated enterprise energy-asset management advanced technologies and efficiencies. Selected to implement these industrial Best Practices to the California Green Buildings Laboratory and commercial buildings as part of Governor Schwarzenegger's Green Action Team initiative.
" Designed and developed the online certificate program for Energy Resource Management (ERM) at the University of California-Davis Extension that currently has worldwide enrollments.
" Consultant and project leader for California demand response and energy efficiency projects at Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory, Demand Response Research Center and California Energy Commission.
" Certifications by Association of Energy Engineers and American Production & Inventory Control Society (top 3% worldwide in supply chain management). Completed the Federal Energy Management Program (FEMP).
" Received Outstanding Customer Award from Pacific Gas & Electric Company (PG&E).
